Boyhood Thrills
The other day, while I was eating lunch with Gideon and Silas, I found myself very annoyed by the game they were playing while they were supposed to be eating. "Stop. Putting. Broccoli. In. Your. Eye!" I snapped. No sooner did the words escape my mouth than I realized something. Only a mother with two young boys would ever have to say something like "Stop putting broccoli in your eye!"

You're right. I can't imagine girls doing that. President Walker said that he and Tim used to dare each other to bite the heads off grasshoppers, so broccoli in the eyes isn't so bad, when you look at other alternatives. Boys love to anoy/tease their mothers, and as far as I can see, it never ends.
